Clean roofs, protected home
Moss, algae, lichen and debris build up on roofs over time, accelerating tile wear and increasing the risk of water ingress. On flat roofs, drainage outlets block with leaves, soil and debris, obstructing drainage and damaging waterproofing. Está Limpo handles both with safe techniques, controlled pressure and products suited to each surface type.
Ceramic tile roofs
We remove moss, algae, lichen and accumulated dirt from tiles without damaging the ceramic surface. We use controlled pressure and appropriate products. We also apply a water-repellent treatment to protect the roof and extend the effect of the cleaning.
Flat roofs and drainage outlets
On homes with parapets and flat drainage zones, outlets block with leaves, soil and debris that prevent drainage and increase the risk of water ingress and waterproofing damage. We fully clear and deep-clean roof drains and guttering.

Frequently asked questions about roof cleaning
Does pressure washing damage the tiles?
No, when used at the correct pressure for ceramic tiles. We always adapt pressure to the material type to avoid damaging the surface or joints between tiles.
What is the water-repellent treatment?
It's an application of waterproofing product on ceramic tiles that creates a barrier against water, moss and algae. It extends the effect of the cleaning and delays the return of moss.
How often should I clean my roof?
We generally recommend a roof clean every 2 to 3 years. Flat roof drains should be checked annually, ideally before winter.
Can you clean hard-to-access roofs?
Yes. Our team works safely at height. We always assess access conditions when quoting and adapt equipment to the situation.
Does cleaning fix water ingress problems?
When water ingress is caused by moss or blocked drains, cleaning resolves or significantly improves the problem. If there is structural damage to tiles or waterproofing, we flag what we find so you can take the necessary steps.
Do you clean gutters and downpipes too?
Yes, gutter and downpipe cleaning is included in the service or can be arranged separately.
